Winsley Neighbourhood Watch

During the last fortnight there have been two thefts from gardens.

The first occurred in Turleigh at about 10.00 pm on Thursday 27th September. Some 20 to 30 Bath stones, which formed a border to a driveway hedge, were taken. The resident has now resolved to cement some new stones in place.

The second took place on Monday (8th October) in Late Broads during the day while the resident was out. Four items were stolen: a long hedge trimmer, a short hedge trimmer, a chain saw and a leaf blower. It has not been possible to ascertain whether this was a purely opportunistic theft or whether it had been planned.

Such thefts are extremely difficult to combat, but, at least, let us be vigilant.
