Join the Snow Clearance Volunteer List!

Winsley Parish Council is preparing a Winter Management Plan to support and coordinate local efforts if the area is affected by snow or ice.

Volunteers are sought to help clear a path through the village in cases of snow or ice.

Volunteers would be contacted when necessary by the Parish Council. Having a list of people willing to lend-a-hand in these circumstances would help speed up and coordinate the local response, keeping the village as accessible as possible.

Wiltshire Council’s focus is on gritting ‘primary’ routes, which in Winsley’s case is the B3108 (‘Winsley bypass’).  The Unitary Authority has no responsibility for gritting and keeping clear any other roads or footways in the Parish.

If you’d like to be added to the Winter Management Plan’s volunteer list then please contact the Parish Clerk, Selina Jobson, by email on clerk(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)
