WINSLEY NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH  –  Friday 15th November

Thefts from garages

Wiltshire Police have reported that there has recently been a spate of thefts from garages in the County. May I suggest that we all check that garage doors and windows are fully secure.

Police advice is to note the security numbers of particularly valuable items and to photograph them, as this makes it easier to return stolen items to the rightful owner.

Burglary in Upper South Wraxall

There has recently been a break in to a house in Upper South Wraxall; jewellery was stolen.

Whether this was connected to the coming festive season I do not know. However, this is a time of year when there tends to be an increase in burglaries. The advice is always to keep presents well out of sight. May I suggest the loft, especially if you are going away for a day or two.  It goes without saying that security needs to be a top priority.

New Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator

As you all know, I am relinquishing the job of NW co-ordinator at the end of the year. I am delighted to inform you that Mike Wells, who lives in Late Broads. will be taking over. I am sure that we are all most grateful to him. And I can assure you all that Winsley NW will be in excellent hands!
