Update 24th March – Community Response & Local Services

In light of the recent announcement about greater restrictions on personal movement, our Winsley community volunteers are now more limited in what they can do:
Volunteers can still help with delivering essential shopping or picking up prescriptions if required. Volunteers have delivered leaflets with contact information on to most of the village but if you haven’t received such information and need some help please contact the Clerk on winsleypc(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)gmail.com or 01225 865529. If you have a neighbour or friend who might need help, particularly if they don’t look at online information, please let them know (by phone/email) who to contact.
The shop, Hartley Farm, Seven Stars, Health Centre and Winsley Primary School have all been doing a brilliant job of serving the local community at a difficult time. The Seven Stars has withdrawn its delivery service and is currently closed. Hartley Farm have a collection system in place. Orders can be placed by phone 01225 864948 or email shop(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)hartley-farm.co.uk. They’ll call back when the order is ready to take payment and organise collection, delivering to the car park if necessary. Further information can be found on their ‘Hartley Farm Shop and Kitchen’ Facebook page. Winsley dispensary has restricted opening hours from 14.00-18.00, Monday to Friday.
Look after yourselves and each other at this challenging time.
