B3108 Speed Limit Consultation August 2021

It is planned that the creation of the permanent pedestrian / cycle access from Winsley to Downs View, Bradford on Avon will be undertaken in August 2022.

Meanwhile, there is a need to formalise the 40 mph speed limit along that stretch of road. This process also involves restating the 50 mph speed limit along the remainder of this stretch of the B3108, down to Murhill.

Open this link to access the proposed Traffic Regulation Orders for consultation.

Winsley Parish Council agrees with the proposed retention of the 40 mph speed limit but not the continuation of the 50 mph limit along the remainder of the road. It supports a reduction in the speed limit to 40 mph for this entire stretch of the B3108.

The reasons why Winsley Parish Council objects to the 50 mph speed limit can be found HERE

This will be the basis of the Parish Council’s formal response to the consultation.

This proposal was advertised in the Wiltshire Times on 6th August 2021 and the consultation period ends on 31st August 2021.
