Safari Supper – Saturday 18th June

WVP NewLogo#2

Every year the Winsley Village Project committee runs a “Safari Supper” in and around our villages. It is widely regarded as one of the most enjoyable evenings of the year! About 100 people normally take part, but there is no limit on numbers. You will get three courses – each one in a different house, with different people – and then we all meet in one house for coffee. We can usually cope with any special diets and other requirements, if you let us know what they are.

All are welcome: don’t wait to be asked! The cost will be £15 per person for hosts of starters, £14 for hosts of puddings, and no charge for main course hosts; the charge for those who do not cook will be £25.

To make a booking, or for more information, contact Elizabeth Bush (866624 or elizabethbush2(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign), Sue Protheroe (867409 or sue(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign), or James Colquhoun (720038 or colquhounjames(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign) as soon as possible, or by June 2nd at latest.

The money raised from this event will help to support some of the poorest people in the world – we have raised about £158,000 through the Winsley Village Project since 1985 for famine and disaster relief, medical aid, and clean water projects in Africa and the Indian subcontinent; that has saved many people’s lives and has made a huge difference to countless others.

We currently support three registered charities: Mercy Ships, Just a Drop and Médecins sans Frontières.
