Tick Awareness

Public Health England has been working with the Public Health Team at Wiltshire Council to raise awareness of the risk to health from tick bites, particularly Lyme disease which has been on the rise in the UK in recent years. With spring in the air, the tick population will be on the rise, so the Council is providing information on its website about how to check for ticks and what to do if you find them. Ticks prefer long grass and vegetation, so the information will be particularly relevant to walkers and dog walkers. Visit “Tick Awareness”¬†for more information on ticks.
